Leaders across the consortium have very high aspirations for all trainees. The ITE curriculum has been meticulously designed to build confident, knowledgeable and reflective practitioners in the primary phase (Ofsted, 2023).

Mission Statement
We aim to provide a challenging and well designed programme of school-based practice and academic study to a wide range of trainee teachers. Our inclusive ethos and well-resourced environment offer a highly supportive and personalised approach to learning.
Vision
Our vision is that teacher training provides diverse experiences led by experienced school partners who understand the particular needs of the children in the communities we serve. We are committed to:
- Drawing upon expertise across the partnership, and beyond it, to provide a robust training programme with a focus on inclusive practice;
- Preparing trainees for future employment in diverse local schools with a focus on narrowing the attainment gap;
- Enabling the recruitment of excellent, highly reflective teachers into London schools; and
- Building our network of Wandsworth SCITT alumni in local schools to develop our high quality, supportive mentoring programme.
Location
You can find our training suite on the top floor of St. Mary's RC Primary School in Battersea, Lockington Road, SW8 4BE.
St Mary's is part of the new Battersea Exchange development and at the heart of the wider redevelopment of the Nine Elms area. We are opposite Battersea Park train station, a short walk from Battersea Power Station tube line and a bus ride from Vauxhall bus station and underground.
We are 5 minutes walk from Battersea Park and the Battersea Power Station shopping centre is in reach for a lunchtime stroll.
Facilities
Facilities on-site include our SCITT office, a dedicated SCITT training room and spacious common room with kitchen facilities. Trainees have free access to the Wandsworth Learning Resources Service and Kingston University Library and Resource Centre in addition to a small on-site library.
